Exceptional Uses For Baby Oil

It is easy to assume that baby oil is only meant for use on your babies and children, but don't be fooled! The are many wonderful household and personal uses for baby oil. Some uses of baby oil may be a bit surprising and some might be more common practice, but here are a few of our favorite ways to use baby oil.

1. Dry Skin Care for your Body & Massages. Perhaps the most common uses of baby oil, we recommend using baby oil on your cuticles, feet, scaly winter skin and more. Also, it makes a great massage oil, so indulge! More importantly though, if you are going to use baby oil as a moisturizer, be sure to use it at night instead of day. Baby oil will make you burn in the sun!

2. To Remove Sticky Substances. A drop of baby oil will help get rid of pesky sticker or label residue, gum from objects (and also hair), and more. Baby oil has the natural ability to get rid of most things sticky, so keep this one in mind you have gum on the bottom of your shoe!

3. Eases the Clean Up of Messy Diapers. Without going into great detail, baby oil can assist in removing unwanted mess from your baby's bottom. For those of you who are not parents, we will spare you the details.

4. Polish for Chrome, and other metal items. Great for golf clubs, sinks, faucets, picture frames etc. baby oil works diligently to add that extra sparkle to anything metal.

5. Relaxing Bath. Baby oil can be used to soothe and hydrate your skin during a bath. We realize than many adults forgo taking baths, but we highly recommend making the time to try this one! Simply add a few drops to the running water.

6. Shaving. Why not hydrate your skin as you shave?! The baby oil makes a slippery surface for ease of shaving and reduces razor burn. Baby oil works much better than the average soap when it comes to shaving, and leaves skin feeling silky smoothe. Not recommended for shaving your face.

7. Removing Your Rings. Did you have too much salt today? Add a drop of baby oil to your puffier than normal finger and your rings will gently slip off with a couple tugs.

8. Taking Off the Dreaded Bandaid. This can be painful, especially when the bandaid is on any area which contains hair! Rub some baby oil on the edges of the bandaid and it can help reduce the pain of removing it.

9. Help Prevent Stretchmarks While Pregnant. Rub some baby oil on your pregnant tummy and it can help soothe your skin from "growing pains" which cause stretchmarks.

10. Relieve Cradle Cap. Add a drop of organic baby oil to your child's scalp and gently comb through hair. Baby oil will soothe your child scalp as well as help clear up cradle cap. Please note: We are not doctors, and therefore cannot prescribe a treatment for your children. Please see your pediatrician before use on your children.

When it comes to picking out a baby oil for use on your skin, we highly recommend choosing an all natural or organic baby oil. Since your skin is asborbing all of the baby oil ingredients, it is important to make sure the baby oil you are using is a good, healthy product!
